PURPOSE: To prevent effectively an outer drain port for draining moisture from a treatment tank which communicates with a drain hole formed at the bottom of the treatment tank for a garbage treatment device, together with the drain hole, from clogging due to the accumulation of a solid and the attachment of microbes.
CONSTITUTION: A garbage treatment device consists of a treatment tank 2 for decomposing garbage with a drain hole 5 formed at the bottom 4 of the treatment tank, and an outer drain port, for discharging moisture to an outside from the treatment tank 2, which communicates with the drain hole 5. In this garbage treatment device, a pin 10 with a tip part which is smaller than the diameter of the drain hole 5 is arranged below the drain hole 5 in such a manner that the pin 10 can freely move vertically. In addition, the pin 10 is introduced into the drain hole 5 by the vertical movement to prevent the drain hole from clogging.
