Title:
CLOSED DOOR HOLDING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3507203
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make more definitely a return operation to a sealed position of a latch by providing i integrally a spring means, which energizes a latch elastically and constantly in the direction which seals a hole in a cabinet main body, on a door mounted on the door.
CONSTITUTION: When a handle is operated to open a door, a turning force is transmitted to a latch 3 by way of a rod 15, a cam projection 10 pushes out the central part of a blade spring 9 provided internally on a board 5 so that the latch 3 may turn and a hook-shaped end 2 of the latch 3 may be separated from a hole 12 of a cabinet main body 11 and the door may be openable. When the hand is released from the handle, the latch 3 returns to its original position since the blade spring 9 pushes the cam projection 10 constantly. On one hand, when the hook-shaped end 2 is pushed into the hole 12, a slope area of the hook-shaped end 2 is pushed back to the inner edse of the hole 12 so that the latch 3 may be forcibly turned. At the point when the hook-shaped end 2 rides over the inner edge of the hole 12, the elastic force of the blade spring 9 returns the latch 3 to the turning motion, thereby locking the hook- shaped end 2 with the hole 12 and holding the door in a closed state.
