Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a vascular catheter that prevents a patient from coming into contact with infectious bacteria or virus, reverse flow of blood, and facilitates to collect tested blood sample through the catheter. CONSTITUTION: This catheter has a tapered part 40, a hub part 36, and a piercing elongated fluid passage 28, and a fluid impermeable elastomer gasket member 30 is arranged in the hub part 36 of the catheter 22 and sealed. The piercing tip of the base end of a skin piercing stylette 37 is extended outward from a tapered part 40 of the catheter, and an air permeable assembly 80 is connected to an observation chamber 74 of the stylette assembly 32 to observe the flow of a blood flow into an ignition point cavity 76 and control the same.
