Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a proper shape for protecting a human being on expansion of an air bag by constituting the air bag from the cloth in which the lateral axes of the cloth are integrally formed in lamination so as to cross each other and providing the mechanical properties which are uniform in the lateral, longitudinal, and aslant directions. CONSTITUTION:Each cloth 1, 2, or 3 is integrally formed in lamination into two or three layers, and the lateral axes 1a-3a of the cloth 1-3 are arranged so as to cross each other, and integrally formed in lamination by adhesive, seaming, etc. Therefore, the uniform isotropy in the mechanical characteristics in the lateral, longitudinal, and aslant directions of the cloth can be obtained, and a proper shape for protecting a human being can be obtained when an air bag is expansion-operated. Further, even if a low denier thread is used, the cloth having the high isotropy can be obtained, and the weight can be relatively reduced.
