PURPOSE: To effectively clean and wipe a stained surface by using the front and rear surfaces of one sheet of cloth and selectively using these surfaces according to the degrees of the staining by dust.
CONSTITUTION: The heavy cloth is formed by constituting its surface with a woven and knitted fabric 2 having pile ridge lines on the front surface side and the other surface with a nonwoven fabric 3. The yarn forming such pile ridge lines 6 and the fibers of the nonwoven fabric 3 are constituted with extremely fine fibers formed by splitting divided type composite fibers, by which the durable cloth 1 for cleaning provided with the respectively different and excellent wiping functions on the woven and knitted fabric 2 side surface and the nonwoven fabric 3 side surface is formed. Then, the pile ridge lines 6 on the woven and knitted fabric 2 side have the excellent function to remove particularly the relatively large dust and a large amt. of the dust and the nonwoven fabric 3 side has the excellent function to remove a small amt. of the fine dust and, therefore, this cloth exhibits a remarkable effect as the cloth for cleaning, wiping and polishing articles having large cleaning areas, such as windshields and bodies of automobiles.
