Title:
CLOTH FOR HEAT-TRANSFER PRINTING LABEL AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3514042
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cloth for a heat-transfer printing label capable of forming an image having excellent printing clearness, adhesivity, fastness and washing durability by laminating a specific cloth piece with a hot-melt adhesive film.
SOLUTION: A cloth such as woven or knit fabric composed mainly of a polyester fiber having a single fiber fineness of 0.0001-1de is calendered at 100-170°C under a pressure of 10-500kg/cm2. The non-calendered face of the cloth is laminated to a hot-melt adhesive film made of a polyester resin, etc., at a temperature above the glass transition point and below the softening point of the hot-melt adhesive film to obtain the objective cloth for a heat-transfer printing label having a surface roughness of the printing face characterized by a center-line average roughness of 4-40μm in either warp or weft direction, a center-line average roughness of 3-8μm in the other direction and a maximum height of 30-75μm.
