To provide the subject cloth-pressing machine enabling the suppression of the occurrence of defectives by differentiating an overlaying state and the finding of contaminates such as waste yarns of a cloth to be treated by placing a specific light transmission and detecting means near the entrance-side end of a lower-side transferring belt in a rotary-type cloth-pressing machine.
A light transmission and detection means having a gate-type loading table 21 is placed near the entrance-side end of a lower-side transferring belt 3 circulating in a cloth-pressing machine for transferring a cloth to be treated. A transparent or semi-transparent light-transmission board 23 is placed on the above surface of the loading table 21 via an over-laying table 20 and a cloth to be treated is loaded on it, and light is projected from a light source 24 toward the light-transmission board 23. Thus, the cloth to be treated is inspected with transmitted light, and defects of the cloth to be treated are detected before it is introduced into the cloth-pressing machine.
