PURPOSE: To allow a user to surely recognize the plugging of a filter after the drying operation is completed, urge the user to clean the filter, and allow the user to use the filter having no plugging and good drying efficiency in a clothes drier rotatively driving a motor and circulating hot air in a rotary drum to dry the clothes.
CONSTITUTION: A plugging detecting means 16 provided on a control means 9 sets the plugging detection level based on the output of a temperature detecting means 6, compares it with the output of a current detecting means 17, and detects the plugging of a filter 4. When the plugging of the filter 4 is detected, the plugging is continuously' reported by a reporting means 20 for a fixed period even after a user opens a door and takes out the clothes from a rotary drum 1.
