To raise the temperature of an evaporator during drying in a low outside air temperature state, and to shorten the drying time.
The heat source of an oblique drum type washing/drying machine is a heat pump device 20 for which the evaporator 21 and a condenser 23 are closely disposed, and a controller 33 for controlling the condensing capability of the condenser 23 is provided. When the outside air temperature is low, the capability of the condenser 23 is lowered to raise the temperature of a coolant flowing to the evaporator 21, the temperature of the evaporator 21 is raised to prevent freezing by the dew condensation water of the evaporator 21, an evaporating action and a condensing action are demonstrated, and lengthening of the drying time is suppressed.
