A control arrangement is provided for controlling a drying operation. The control arrangement performs a high-temperature dehumidification operation for heating drying air by a heating arrangement and operating a dehumidification arrangement, and a low-temperature humidification operation for making the temperature of the drying air lower than the time of the high-temperature dehumidification operation and operating a humidification arrangement. When a prescribed time set from the output of a cloth volume detection arrangement after the start of the drying operation or a prescribed temperature at which the output of a temperature detection arrangement is set is reached, the high-temperature dehumidification operation is switched to the low-temperature humidification operation.
