To provide a clothes dryer which reduces power consumption of a fan motor which drives a blowing fan ventilating the air to clothes in the clothes dryer and controls a rise in temperature.
The clothes drier is equipped with a blowing fan 11 which blows air to the clothes, a fan motor 12 which drives the blowing fan 11, and a control means 26 which controls driving rotation number and driving current value of the fan motor 12 and estimates a load of the fan motor 12. The smaller the estimated load of the fan motor 12 is, the smaller the control means 26 controls the driving current value of the fan motor 12 with maintaining the rotation number. Then, the load of the fan motor 12 is estimated and the driving current is supplied without exaggeration and without omission while the fan motor 12 is driving at a fixed rotation number, step-out of the motor caused by lack of driving current is avoided and excess driving current is inhibited beforehand.
