To provide a clothes-drying implement for a verandah which is used by freely vertically turnably mounting one side of a shelf-like main body at the handrails of the verandah of high-rise housing, etc., and is constituted to prevent the horizontal muntin segments thereof from being used as a foothold for a child attempting to climb up the handrails while not in use when the shelf-like main body is suspended.

The shelf-like main body combined with respectively a plurality of vertical muntins and horizontal muntins is constituted by freely vertically turnably mounting its one marginal end to the handrails of the verandah in such a manner that the main body is supported horizontally in use and is suspended while not in use. The horizontal muntins to be arranged in a height range where there is a possibility of being used as the foothold for the child while not in use are formed as the movable horizontal muntins by combining the same so as to be slipped down by receiving the weight of the child. The vertical muntins are recommended to be constituted variably in their lengths. The planar supporting arms of a turning type which horizontally hold the shelf- like main body are recommended to be attached to the implement.
