In the clothes folding machine capable of folding both sleeves to the body part side by a sleeve folding device 3 from unfolded clothes whose both sleeves are spread, and folding the clothes with the folded sleeves to a prescribed small area on a series of carriers 1, a sleeve shaping device for neatly shaping respective left and right sleeve root parts of the unfolded clothes is provided on a position more on the upstream side than the part of a sleeve folding device 3 on the carrier 1. Thus, the respective sleeves are folded by the sleeve folding device 3 in the state of neatly shaping the respective sleeve root parts (stretching the wrinkles and slack) in the sleeve shaping device.
