Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a bulk carrier, which is safe because flooding is not expanded to the entire region of a cargo hold, and which is provided with a self unloading system that is quite advantageous in terms of labor and economics regarding installation, maintenance, and driving.
CONSTITUTION: An endless cutting conveyer 7 for transferring a bulk cut from the lower end of each cargo hold either to a bow or to a stern, is arranged by penetrating each opening part 6 formed on a plurality of bulkheads 2 partitioning a cargo hold 1, in order, while a door device 12 that can be closed watertight, sandwiching a belt 11 of the cutting conveyer 7 in the opening part 6, is provided.
