Abstract:
To provide a clothing steamer and an iron, which enable the steamer to be effectively used in the front, rear, left and right directions.SOLUTION: A clothing steamer of the present invention 10 has an ironing surface 2 disposed on the bottom surface in order to smooth wrinkles of clothing and the like, a heater h that is disposed inside and energized to heat the ironing surface 2, a handle 5 to be held by a user, and steamer portions 6, 7 that are heated by the heater h and inject vaporized steam outwardly from the ironing surface 2. The ironing surface 2 is formed into a substantially rhombic shape that is longer in a front-rear direction along a longer direction of the handle 5 when seeing the ironing surface 2 from the front. Respective angles to form a front edge 2a and a rear edge 2d of a shape tapered at front and rear ends are smaller than respective angles to form a right edge 2b and a left edge 2c of a shape tapered at right and left ends so that the ironing surface is formed to be symmetric in the front-rear direction and bilaterally symmetric in the front-rear direction when seeing the ironing surface 2 from the front.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
