A clothesline member comprises a body portion extending in the vertical direction and placed on a wall surface, and an arm portion rotatably and pivotally supported at a lower end portion of the body portion. The clothesline member is arranged to freely change an accommodating state and an using state by rotating the arm portion, the accommodating state closing the arm portion and the body portion with the parallel state each other, and the using state opening the arm portion to extend it in the horizontal direction. The clothesline member further comprises a placing fitting, the placing fitting having a back portion placed on the wall surface, a supporting portion supporting the body portion from its lower surface, and an engaging piece inserted in an engaging hole formed on the lower surface of the body portion to engage.
