To sufficiently remove a vertical slack of a press object by arranging driving rollers in the main body side sandwiching plate upper part, arranging interlocking rollers opposed to the driving rollers in the cover side sandwiching plate upper part, and operating so as to sandwich and pull up the press object such as trousers by both rollers.
After setting a press object, for example, trousers on a cover side sandwiching plate 3 so that the leg parts of the trousers are hooked on a cushion 8 of the cover side sandwiching plate 3, when an operator sandwiches the press object up to the middle by a main body side sandwiching plate 1 and the cover side sandwiching plate 3 by moving a lever 10, the cuff parts of the trousers are temporarily fixed by the cushion 8. The crotch part of the trousers is put in a state of being sandwiched by left/right respective driving rollers 20 and 21 and interlocking rollers 23 and 24 by closing the crotch part by operating the lever 10. Then, rotation of the lever 10 is transmitted to the driving rollers 20 and 21 through a belt by operation of the lever 10, and the trousers are pulled upward by interlocking/rotating the interlocking rollers 23 and 24 to remove a vertical directional slack.
