Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject piece of clothing improved in visual recognizability and durability. SOLUTION: This piece of clothing is so designed that band-like light- reflective members 18 are attached to the front and back of a clothing body 12 and the surface of each of the members 18 is fitted with a linear luminescent body 20 utilizing an electroluminescence(EL) light source. Lince the luminescent layer of the luminescent body 20 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a core electrode with circular section, luminescence is radiated omnidirectionally from the whole periphery of the luminescent layer. Furthermore, since the luminescent layer and the other constituent parts are completely enveloped by a transparent covering layer, there occurs no water infiltration into the luminescent body 20 or no mutual debonding of the respective constituent parts.
