Abstract:
To provide a cluster system which, when failure occurs in a management module, performs recovery not through manpower.SOLUTION: A cluster system includes a plurality of nodes each of which includes a plurality of clusters. Of all management modules which are all of management modules included in the cluster system, one management module is set to a representative management module. One management module of one of the clusters is set to a master management module and the other management modules of the clusters are set to a standby management module. Each of the management modules includes: a fail-over control unit which, when any of failure monitoring units detects failure in the representative management module while the failure monitoring units each monitor failure occurrence in the other management modules, sets any one of non-representative management modules to a new representative management module; and a recovery unit which recovers the failure monitoring unit and the fail-over control unit in the management module with the failure detected by any of the failure monitoring units.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
