A clutch device 20 for a hybrid vehicle 10 includes a friction material 21, a plate 22, and an engagement mechanism. The friction material 21 is conveyed with engine rotation force generated by the internal combustion engine 11. The plate 22 is provided contactably with the friction material 21. The plate 22 is connected to wheels through an electric motor 12, and is transmitted with wheel rotation force conveyed from the wheels. The engagement mechanism imparts driving force to at lest one of the friction material 21 and the plate 22 to engage the friction material 21 and the plate 22, and adjusts a dimension of a gap between the friction material 21 and the plate 22 to semi-engage the friction material 21 and the plate 22. The engagement mechanism performs semi-engagement of the friction material 21 and the plate 22 when performing the regenerative braking.
