Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce noise effectively under idling by producing hysteresis torque caused on the eddy current through the repellent force produced upon twisting of main and sub hubs. CONSTITUTION:The torsional rigidity necessary for countermeasure against the idling noise is produced through utilization of resilient effect produced by the repellent force between the magnets 27, 30 while the hysteresis torque is produced by the eddy current flowing through the endfaces 28, 26 of iron hub facing against the magnets 27, 30. Since the repellency of magnet will increase non-linearly as the magnets will approach, such characteristic as the torsional rigidity will increase with correspondence to the torsional angle can be achieved through utilization of small space between main and sub hubs 1, 2. Consequently, the hysteresis torque utilizing the eddy current can be produced while noise can be reduced because there is no frictional section.
