Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel diacetylene monomer composition, a mixture and a crystal phase.SOLUTION: A solid polymerizable diacetylene monomer composition (including a composition co-crystallized from various solvent systems under various cooling conditions) may show a diffraction pattern related to a coloring reaction property of the composition. A high reactive composition is disclosed and a high reactive phase and a low reactive phase are identified. A low angle powder X ray diffraction peak may show a presence of one or a plurality of crystal phases in the composition. A finger print area may show a finger print pattern of different diffraction peaks related to different reactivity. Information about polymerization of a diacetylene monomer is disclosed by using characterization of 13C nuclear magnetic resonance ("NMR"). A diacetylene monomer composition useful for an indicator of ambient condition (for example a time-temperature indicator) is disclosed.
