Abstract:
To get rid of hydrides in a char produced in a gasification furnace.
In the system of generating electricity comprising burning coal and an oxidizing agent in a gasification furnace 10 to produce a gas, recovering the heat of the formed gas in a heat recovery zone 12, and simultaneously producing a formed gas from which part of the organic substances and the char have been removed in a char recovery zone 16 to effect electricity generation based on this formed gas, the hydrogen abstracting promoter and the char recovered in the char recovery zone 16 are returned to a lower burner 40 and supplied to the gasification furnace 10 when coal and the oxidizing agent are supplied to the gasification furnace 10.
