Abstract:
PURPOSE: To remove cylindrical slag, adhered to the vicinity of tip end of a reductor burner, surely in a two-stage entrained-bed coal gasifying furnace.
CONSTITUTION: A water-cooled hammer 19 is provided at the outside of a water- cooled reductor burner 9 so as to surround the burner 9 while a piston 17, fixed to the hammer 19, is pushed out by a pneumatic cylinder 18 periodically into the furnace 27. The water-cooled hammer 19 is constituted so that the hammer 19 is projected from the tip end of the reductor burner 9 when the hammer is pushed out into the furnace 27 to separate and drop the cylindrical slag 15b near the tip end of the reductor burner 9.
