PURPOSE: To save energy in coarse rubbing for green tea preparation, by carrying out coarse rubbing while a rubbing and drying chamber being kept at high temperature and at high humidity.
CONSTITUTION: Steamed leaves of green tea are fed from the front door 19 to the rubbing and drying chamber 15, the door 19 is closed, the fun 28 of the hot air blower 2 is started, the burner 24 is fired, and the main shaft 11 of the coarse rubbing machine for green tea preparation is rotated to start coarse rubbing for green tea preparation. Usually, fresh hot air is supplied gradually in a fixed ratio given at each time decided by dividing the period of one process to several sections, the damper 20 is opened properly by using the temperature and the humidity from the detector 10 for the temperature of leaves of green tea and the detector 23 for the atmospheric humidity, and fresh hot air is introduced by the hot air blower 2 to the rubbing and drying chamber 15.
