Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article improved in the removal of adherent substances by forming on the surface of a base a coat which facilitates removal of adherent substances and comprises a water-swellable resin ingredient and a water-soluble compound and from which substances adherent to its surface can be repeatedly removed easily and rapidly.
SOLUTION: The coat comprises a water-swellable resin ingredient and a water-soluble compound. Substances adherent to the surface of this coat can be repeatedly removed. The method of using the coat comprises contacting the coat with water, an aqueous solution, or steam to swell the coat having the adherent substances thereon, removing the adherent substances, and then drying the coat for reuse. The article comprises a base and the coat formed on the surface thereof.
