Abstract:
To provide a coated body which can exhibit function for suppressing mold breeding even indoor, and excellent function for suppressing mold and/or algae breeding outdoor over a long period, and a coating composition.SOLUTION: In a coated body in which a surface layer is provided on a base material, the surface layer contains a cerium oxide particle which has an oxygen deficiency of a fluorite structure, and has an average crystallite diameter of 10 nm or less. In Raman optical spectrum, a peak of this cerium oxide attributed to F2g vibration mode of Ce-O bond is so deviated to a peak wavenumber side as to exceed 2 cm-1 with respect to a peak of attributed to F2g vibration mode of Ce-O bond that is obtained by measuring a standard substance. This coated body extremely significantly suppresses mold breeding indoor and algae breeding outdoor over a long period.SELECTED DRAWING: None
