Title:
COATED CONDUCTOR AND ARTIFICIAL DIELECTRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3857672
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an artificial dielectric capable of increasing the permittivity.
SOLUTION: The artificial dielectric has a coated conductor 10 where conductive fibers 12 are coated with an insulating coat 14, thus suppressing or preventing the mutual contact of the conductive fibers 12 with the insulating coat 14 and hence suppressing or preventing the mutual continuity of the conductive fibers 12. Although both end faces of each conductive fiber 12 are not coated with the insulating coat 14, probability for allowing the end faces of the conductive fiber 12 to come into contact each other is extremely small. Therefore, when the conductive fibers 12 are arranged in high concentration for increasing the number of gaps between the conductive fibers 12 and the gap between the conductive fibers 12 is narrowed, electric field energy can be accumulated between the conductive fibers 12 with extremely high probabilities, the substantial length of the conductive fibers 12 can be shortened with extremely high probabilities, and the permittivity of the artificial dielectric can be increased.
