Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated electric wire which prevents invasion of water from the insulation coating side thoroughly, a crimped connection structure, a connector, a method of producing the coated electric wire and a method of producing the connection structure.SOLUTION: A coated electric wire 200 is formed by coating the outer periphery of an aluminum core wire 201 with an insulating insulation coating 202 and crimped by caulking a crimp terminal 100 in the vicinity of the tip of the insulation coating 202, and the insulation coating 202 is mixed with an ingredient which foams when heated. The ingredient mixed with the insulation coating 202 is allowed to foam by heating, and the insulation coating 202 is deformed, or expanded, partially to occlude the clearance between the insulation coating 202 and the crimp terminal 100.
