To provide a coated glass sheet having a remarkable solar light- shielding characteristic and formed by a thermal decomposition.
This transparent glass sheet for controlling solar light comprises a soda lime glass sheet carrying at least two thermal decomposition-formed coating layers. The glass sheet has a conductive or semi-conductive coating layer which is formed from a material containing 100 mol of a metal oxide and 1-100 mol of a dopant and has a thickness of 15-500 nm. The metal oxide is selected from tungsten trioxide (WO3), molybdenum trioxide (MoO3), niobium pentaoxide (Nb2O5), tantalum pentaoxide (Ta2O5), vanadium pentaoxide (V2O5) and vanadium dioxide (VO2). Thereby, the coated glass sheet is colorless or blue on transmission and reflection, and has a luminous transmittance (TL) of 30-85% and a selectivity of >1, preferably >1.2.
