To peel off the coated layers of a plurality of coated popes having different pipe diameters by providing a peeling tool holding member which can respond to a plurality of outside coated pipes having different pipe diameters by one peeling tool holding member.
A peeling tool holding member 21 has a cylindrical part 21a having an opening on a side and a tool holding part having a bottom part 21b connected to the opening and both side walls 21c, 21d, these parts being integrally formed. A tool support base 22 is fixed to the bottom part 21b and a ratchet plate is fixed to the wall 21c and a slit 31 in which a ratchet claw 24 mounted to the tool support base 22 can be moved is formed on the other side wall 21d. The ratchet plate 23 has a plurality of saw-toothed ratchet claws 23a and is fixed to one side wall 21c. The tool support base 22 is fixed to a peeling tool holding member 21 and a tool part 25 is fixed thereto by a bolt 50 and a cutting member 44 having a cutting edge 43 is fixed to the tool part 25 and the difference between its guide 42 and a ball member 47 equals to the thickness of a coated layer to be peeled off.
