To provide coated paper which is excellent in printing suitability and realizes resource saving and transportation cost reduction.

This coated paper is prepared by coating 40 the surface of base paper with an under-coating liquid containing a water-soluble polymer as a main component to dispose an under-coating layer, smoothening the surface of the under-coating layer with a precalender 50, and disposing an ink-receiving layer 61A on the smoothened surface, wherein the ink-receiving layer contains an adhesive and a pigment as main components, and the pigment contains reclaimed particles which are obtained from at least deinked froth as a main raw material through a dehydration process, a drying process, a calcination process and a crushing process, and include calcium, silicon and aluminum in a mass ratio of 30 to 82: 9 to 35: 9 to 35 in terms of oxide.
