Abstract:
To provide a new coating composition for absorbing ultraviolet rays, usable as a primer for a ultraviolet-protective layer, a silicone hard coat film and the like for solid substrates.
The coating composition for absorbing ultraviolet rays comprises at least one of silylation derivative of a specific photostable polybenzoylresorcinol capable of absorbing ultraviolet rays and a clear polymer matrix compatible with the silylated polybenzoylresorcinol, wherein the polymer matrix comprises an emulsion comprising an acrylic polymer, methacrylic polymer or copolymer and water.
