Abstract:

To provide a coating composition giving itself the antireflection and antifogging properties on a support body to be spread.

The coating composition contains a porous inorganic metal oxide and a surfactant having at least each one of a hydrophobic group and a hydrophilic anion group and shows (1) at least a droplet diameter of 4 mm according to the humidity cabinet test disclosed in the main test and (2) a permeability percent at least 3% larger than that of an uncoated base at 550 nm by spreading and drying at least on one surface of a light transmittable base.
