Abstract:
To provide a method for coating a steel product, such as a plate or a sheet, with an aluminum-zinc coating alloy.
The method uses a molten aluminum-zinc alloy bath containing a microparticulate compound component in an amount effective to diminish the spangle facet size of a coated product and to improve tensile bending property, rust and distortion-preventive properties and coating property of the coated product. The component contains titanium boride and titanium carbide. According to the method, it is possible to produce a coated steel product which does not need to be tempered before it is coated.
