Abstract:
To provide a medical device, a coating for the medical device and a process for manufacturing them.
This coating for the medical device includes a copolymer containing a main amount of -caprolactone and a small amount of at least one kind of another copolymerizable monomer, at least one kind of hydroxamate and a fatty acid component selected from the group consisting of a salt of a fatty acid and a salt of fatty acid ester. The medical device includes a suture, mesh for surgical operation, contact lens, intraocular lens, staple, clip buttress, lap band, catheter, bandage, stent, graft, and stent/graft.
