Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating drying device of a web which permits the levelling on the total width of the web even in the web having a coating film formed on a lower surface of the web without spreading the width of the part on which the coating is not performed.SOLUTION: A coating drying device of a web includes a coating means 1, a drying means 2, a web carrying drive means 3 which catches the web W after coating with a desired catching horizontal level and carries the web and a web level correction means 4 which is arranged on the other surface side of the web after coating and corrects a horizontal level of the web after coating toward the caught horizontal level of the web carrying drive means. Therein, the web level correction means 4 includes a plurality of free rollers 4a, 4b arranged over the whole width of the web so as to leave a gap S in the carriage direction of the web from each other to the other surface side of the web after coating and such that the outermost horizontal level of the web side gets to substantially the same horizontal level with the caught horizontal level, an air chamber forming member 4d with which a counter web surface side of the free roller is covered, and an air chamber 4c interposed between the free rollers is formed on the inner side of the counter web surface, and a negative pressure source connected to the air chamber.
