A coating film dryer 10 for drying a coating film B formed on a surface of a resin material serving as a coated body A includes: an infrared irradiation mechanism 20 for irradiating the coating film B with infrared rays; a cooling mechanism 30 for cooling the coated body A; and a control part 40 for performing control to emit infrared rays to the coating film B by the infrared irradiation mechanism 20 and continuously cool the coated body A by the cooling mechanism 30 so that a temperature of the coated body A does not exceed a preset upper limit control temperature of the coated body A.
