Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a material that achieves anti-corrosion capability immediately after the installation of equipment and that does not alter the appearance of a structure.SOLUTION: The coating forming method includes: preparing an aqueous solution into which a first material metallic ion that forms corrosion resistant coating by binding to hydroxide ion, is dissolved to a concentration satisfying the solubility product of the hydroxide; immersing, into the aqueous solution, a first material and a second material; and having the first material as an action electrode and the second material as a counter electrode, and controlling the current or voltage applied to the first material, to electrochemically form corrosion resistant coating on the first material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
