To provide a coating layer removal method that can easily remove a coating layer from a laminated film transported in a roll-to-roll manner, the laminated film having a base material film and the coating layer.SOLUTION: A coating layer removal method has: a process of preparing a roll 1 on which a laminated film 50 having a base material film and a coating layer is wound; a process of delivering the laminated film 50 from the roll 1; a process of drawing the delivered laminated film 50; a process of removing the coating layer from the drawn laminated film 50A; and a process of winding into a roll the base material film 51 from which the coating layer is removed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
