Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly apply a coating liquid consisting of a functional film forming material that is used for an electrophotographic copying photoreceptor, etc., or the like, with high accuracy by arranging a charge supply device in a part of pipeline for supplying the coating liquid from a coating liquid storage tank to a coating liquid application mechanism and removing the charge of the coating liquid or reversely electrifying the coating liquid.
SOLUTION: In this equipment, a coating liquid storage tank 3 and a coating liquid application mechanism 4 are connected to each other with a pipeline 5 and a coating liquid 2 is supplied from the coating liquid storage tank 3 to the coating liquid application mechanism 4, e.g. to coat a base tube of an electrophotographic copying photoreceptor with a charge generation layer, etc., and if necessary, the coating liquid 2 is circulated from the coating liquid application mechanism 4 to the coating liquid storage tank 3 by using a return pipeline 6. At this time, a charge supply device 7 is disposed in a part of the pipeline 5 to give charge to the coating liquid 2 supplied from the coating liquid storage tank 3 toward the coating liquid application mechanism 4 and to eliminate the charge of the coating liquid 2 or reversely electrify the coating liquid 2. Further, this device 7 is installed in such a way that it is insulated from the coating liquid storage tank 3, pipeline 5, coating liquid application mechanism 4, etc., and also, connected to a high voltage generator 8 to apply a high voltage to the device 7.
