Abstract:
To provide a coating liquid for an undercoat layer that can prevent an increase in viscosity during dispersion, is excellent in dispersibility and stability over time, has satisfactory coating properties on a surface of a conductive support, and can form a uniform undercoat layer, an electrophotographic photoreceptor that has an undercoat layer formed by using the coating liquid, does not experience much change in electrical characteristics even after repeated use, and has satisfactory image characteristics, and an image forming apparatus that comprises the photoreceptor.SOLUTION: The above-mentioned problem is solved by a coating liquid for an electrophotographic photoreceptor undercoat layer that includes a binder resin, metal oxide fine particles that are not surface-treated with an organic compound, and a mixed solvent including water and a water-soluble organic solvent, and the metal oxide fine particles are dispersed in the mixed solvent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
