PURPOSE: To obtain a coating material for forming a piezoelectric buzzer electrode which can provide an electrode with a capacity as high as that obtained from a silver paste by employing a paste comprising a specific amount of copper powder, a specific amount of a specific resol phenol resin, a specific amount of an (un)saturated aliphatic acid (its metal salt) and a specific amount of graphite.
CONSTITUTION: A coating material for forming a piezoelectric buzzer electrode is obtained from a paste composed of 85-96wt.% copper powder, 15-4wt.% resol phenol resin (wherein the total amount of the copper powder and the phenol resin is 100 parts by weight), 0.5-8 parts by weight (un)saturated aliphatic acid (its metal salt), 1-50 parts by weight metallic chelating agent and a prescribed amount of graphite. In this paste, as the phenol resin, use is made of a resin in the which the infrared transmittances of a 2-monosubstituted compound, a 2,4-disubstituted compound, a 2,4,6-trisubstituted compound, a methylol group, a dimethylene ether and a phenyl group as measured by the infrared spectroscopic analysis have a specific relationship.
