Abstract:

To provide a coating material which can firmly join two metal materials, a coated metal material obtained using the same, and a joining method for joining the two metal materials.

This coating material for joining the metal material to the metal material is prepared by combining a polybutylene terephthalate resin of 80 wt.% or less, with 20 wt.% or more of a hydroxy group-containing polyester resin, by blending a curing agent in a solvent, to be brought into a ratio of 0-50 wt.% with respect to the hydroxy group-containing polyester resin. together with the two kinds of resins, and by bringing a state of dissolving the hydroxy group-containing polyester resin, and of further dissolving or finely dispersing the polybutylene terephthalate resin.
