Abstract:

To provide a coating material for slate boards by enhancing present slate boards and slows deterioration speed without causing damage in health and without spoiling inherited properties of asbestos.

The coating material 2 applied to the surface of a slate board 1 contains 20-30 pts.wt. alkali silicate compound 5, 5-25 pts.wt. porous material 3 and 5-20 pts.wt. acrylic resin 4 in solid base on the whole coating material, and is mixed with water. As the porous material 3, e.g., diatomite, clay, zeolite and the like are used.
