PURPOSE: To avoid applying an ink in a large thickness to both ends of a flexible sheet body and prevent the ink from coming round to the back side of the sheet body, by providing a mechanism for preventing the ink from combing round to the back side of the sheet body, on the downstream side of a base plate.

CONSTITUTION: A coming-round preventive mechanism 5 comprises a flat plate body 7 which is disposed on the downstream side of a bar coater 2 for spreading an ink 4 and has upper edge ends 6 in a forked form located at a level higher than the surface of a flat base plate 1 so as to prevent side end parts of a sheet 3 from dropping down. The flat plate body 7 is formed of a glass or stainless steel, and the width of which at least includes protrusion quantities. Accordingly, the close contact surface of the bar coater 2 and the sheet body 3 ranges to the end parts of the sheet body 3, and application of the ink 4 in a large thickness to the end parts of the sheet can be obviated. Simultaneously, the ink 4 is prevented from coming round the back side of the sheet body.
