Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method wherein varied thickness coatings can be done at a time, variably coated boundaries can be nonlinear, the coated thickness can be freely controlled.
SOLUTION: In a coating method wherein an ink is applied to a matter to be coated 6 which is made to pass between a transfer roll and a back-up roll by a mesh roll 1 having on its surface a large number of recesses tin which the ink enters, the transfer roll 2 which rotates in the reverse direction to the mesh roll and to which the ink on the mesh roll is to be transferred, and the back-up roll 2 which rotates in the same direction as that of the transfer roll, the transfer roll comes in contact with the mesh roll and the matter to be coated partially in its axial direction, so that varied coatings are performed in the cross direction of the matter to be painted.
