Abstract:
To provide a medical device and an appropriate coating for use on the medical device.
The coated medical device includes at least one bioabsorbable filament including a polymer including monomers selected from a group comprising poly(glycolic acid), poly(lactic acid), and combinations thereof, and the coating including a polyether-based polyurethane on at least a part of a surface of the bioabsorbable filament. The polyether-based polyurethane is at a concentration from about 1 wt.% to about 10 wt.% in solution.
