PURPOSE: To provide a coaxial cable manufacturing method by which a manufacturing time can be shortened significantly.

CONSTITUTION: When a core 2 formed by extruding/laying tetrafluoroethylene polymer resin to/on the outer periphery of a conductor is passed through a taping head 3 and metal foil 4 is wound round it while squeezing the foil by means of a taping die 5, volatile solvent is used as lubricant, and this is injected directly into a hole part of the taping die from a tank 9 or is applied beforehand to the metal foil. Thereby, since degreasing can be carried out automatically as soon as possible thereafter besides lubrication when the metal foil is squeezed, a separate degreasing process can be eliminated.
