Title:
COAXIAL MAGNETRON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3649851
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial magnetron capable of easily performing heating process for getter activation without lowering of a withstand voltage at a peripheral input part by installing a getter in a cavity for the getter coupled with an axial cavity and setting a resonance frequency of the cavity within variable frequency range of the coaxial cavity and out of a normal operation frequency range.
SOLUTION: At a position substantially opposite to an output part 11, a getter cavity 12 coupled with a coaxial cavity 1 via a slit 13 is installed. A resonance frequency of the getter cavity 12 is set within a variable frequency range of the coaxial cavity 1 and out of a normal operation frequency range. When the resonance frequency of the coaxial cavity 1 is set by a tuning mechanism 8 so as to be a frequency identical to the resonance frequency of the getter cavity 12, the getter cavity 12 turns to a resonance state. Thereby, a getter 10 installed in the getter cavity 12 is heated.
